• Yes. The Dog Bark Control is designed to get your dog’s attention, not to punish him. However, the initial Static Correction may startle your dog.

Will the Dog Barking Control work for my dog?

• The Dog Bark Control is safe and effective for all breeds and sizes of dogs, though it may be too large for dogs under 8 pounds to wear comfortably.

Can I attach a leash to the Dog Barking Control device?

• No. This can result in pulling the Contact Points too tightly against your pet’s neck. Attach a leash to a separate, non-metallic collar, making sure the extra collar does not put pressure on the Contact Points.

I am concerned that once I use a bark control system my dog will stop barking altogether. Will this happen?

• This is highly unlikely, especially if you follow the advice in the Training Manual. Barking is a natural behavior and a needed outlet for a dog, so they are very good at learning what situations they are allowed to bark in.

I would like my dog to learn not to bark only when the dog barking control is on. Is this possible?

• Yes, this is possible. This is best accomplished by placing the dog barking control on your dog only in those situations in which you never want him to bark. Also, never place the dog bark control on your dog in those situations in which you want him to bark.
