Dog Bark Control Troubleshooting
It is just normal to experience technical problems on your dog bark control collars. While there is no need to worry for all dog barking control devices come with warranties and great customer service backup, you can spare yourself the time and effort of calling up for assistance by doing the troubleshooting by yourself. We have placed here some helpful troubleshooting tips to get you through your dog bark control collar problems.
My dog keeps barking (does not respond to the Static Correction).
- Tighten the Dog Bark Control and/or trim your dog’s hair where the Contact Points touch his neck to ensure good skin contact.
- Test the Dog Bark Control (see “To Test the Dog Bark Control” section).
- Increase the Correction Mode.
- Replace the battery.
- Contact the Customer Care Center at 1-800-732-2677.
The Indicator Light keeps flashing
- Make sure the Mode Switch is not set to TEST.
- Replace the battery.
- If the light continues to flash with a new battery, contact the Customer Care Center at 1-800-732-2677.
If your dog continues to bark test the receiver by:
- Dragging the center probe across a rough surface for at least 10-12".
If receiver does not beep
- Change the battery and insure proper polarity.
- If still inoperable, call customer service.
If it beeps but dog does not heed correction
- Tighten collar
- Trimhair where probes make contact
If difficulty continues
- Call customer service at 1-800-732-2677 (M-F 8-7 PM, EST., SAT. 9-5 PMEST, SUN 1-5 PMEST.)
